Bluefield Launches Project Clean Sweep

Bluefield’s annual Clean Sweep Campaign will take place April 30 to June 1. City crews will be collecting yard waste and natural vegetation from residents and businesses in Bluefield at no cost. Disposal of these large items usually require a special trash pickup and a fee, but in an effort to alleviate a financial burden for residents, the city will not charge the fees for these particular items during Project Clean Sweep pickup dates. The city will be divided into 4 zones and each zone will have a designated week for pickup. Yard waste will only be picked up during the designated week for that zone.

Eligible items for free pickup include brush, tree trimmings, yard waste, etc..
